packing up

as I am close to the move date, things have started coming off the walls. They're just little things, but collectively they are what makes home feel like home. It's sort of disheartening to walk into a room with bare walls. Maybe I should look at it as a clean slate for the next inhabitant. I am ready to see the clean slate that is my next apartment, and I'm looking forward to making it feel like home. Perhaps fresh clean walls and a fresh start are exactly what I need.

Maybe it's just an apartment. I don't believe in "clean slates." Every experience is another building block of our lives. You live. You learn. You ache. You laugh. You cry. You sleep. You eat and drink. You make friends. You lose friends. You become someone. You build yourself with your blocks. So remember, what you've become, what you've built so far, I love. Don't ever forget that.

Oh, clean walls and fresh starts are great sometimes. I'm excited about how you will be creating something new. It is good!
