The first week of classes went off without a hitch. In addition to my classes, I was in the spotlight for our group meeting. I had to give a run down of some of the work I had done this summer and then try to sum up some research I had done to motivate a new project. I think it went fairly well, my adviser said he was pleased.
Today is beach day at our adviser's house. His wife (who also works in the department), invited us over for late lunch and beach fun. I am really looking forward to seeing the two of them in an "outside work" situation.
Next week we'll add to my responsibilities with the classes I TA starting. Looking forward to it!
